WARP is a unique theatre group composed of Seattle-area playwrights, actors, and people who are generally interested in theatre production. The group meets weekly and is open to everyone from seasoned professionals to those with little or no previous experience.
There is no membership as such - the group comprises everyone who shows up and participates. At any given time there’s usually a core group of people who attend and participate regularly, with others coming and going. A major goal of WARP is to provide a venue in which individuals interested in theatre can gain experience of all kinds and receive constructive feedback to help improve their skills.
In addition to the weekly meetings, WARP produces several shows a year using selected material written, directed, and performed by participants.
WARP meets on a regular basis every Tuesday night from 7:00-10:00 at the Odd Duck Theatre, 1214 10th Ave in Seattle.
If you are a writer, please consider bringing something for the group to read. If you are an actor, please come prepared to read. If you are just curious, please come check us out - and enjoy the show!
